Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is a pattern of very fine craquelure throughout the paint surface which is not visually distractive and a stretcher mark in the centre of the composition corresponding to the vertical stretcher bar. Ultra-violet light reveals some small clusters of retouching in the mountains to the lower left side, in the far lower left corner and two fine horizontal strokes nearer to the lower right corner. The picture is overall in good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
