Condition

The canvas has not been lined. There is a very minor dent with associated paint loss in the lake in the lower right quadrant, as visible in the catalogue illustration.Ultra-violet light reveals very fine strokes of retouching along the framing edges and in the lantern to the right, and some other tiny scattered spots notably in the lower right corner. Considering the dimensions of the canvas, the picture is in very good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a black wooden decorative frame with a name plate.
