Condition

In overall poor condition. The red lacquer top, returns and front has a cloudy finish and is uneven. This has possibly been caused by an old varnish and would benefit from professional attention according too taste. With four drawers, the top drawer opening to reveal a fitted secretaire with red velvet writing slide, which is distressed. The gilt brass mounts to the front drawers are tarnished in places and have lost their original sheen. The ebonised wood has variable colour, possibly caused by rubbing. The legs with visible lines along the construction. with one key to open all locks. Old marks, scratches and chips.
