Catalogue Note

This model appears in the Ginori factory records from 1749 onwards, listed in the inventory of models under ' 10 gruppetti piccoli di animali... il secondo porco e cani', [10 small groups of animals...the second, boar and dogs]. A related, although larger example of this model was sold at Christie's London, 7th July 1997, lot 276.
