Condition

Overall in good condition. The surface presents with elegant and intricate modeling around the clock face, which is enhanced by the vivid and saturated enamel work of the clock face. The pewter surface with minor oxidation, minor rubbing and light surface dirt to the recessed areas of the design. The metal at the center of clock face with minor surface abrasions and scratches, visible in the catalogue illustration. The reverse with an isolated scuff along the upper edge as well as to revers of side modeling. The hands are possibly replaced and present with minor bending towards each tip. The enamel is in very good condition and displays a diverse palette of saturated jewel-tone hues. The enamelwork has been examined under blacklight and appears original and undisturbed. The enamel with a few scattered minute losses, the largest adjacent to the 9 and subsequent pin. The movement is impressed Lenzkirch/Aug/1 Million. Movement is not guaranteed to run at the time of cataloging and was not tested for accuracy of time and may need service at the buyerÂ’s discretion. The interior door of the reverse holds one key, which appears to be original. A very attractive example distinguished by its vivid color palette and beautifully articulated decoration.
