the round sides resting on a short tapering foot, set on one side with a gilt loop handle, the exterior boldly painted with a band of scrolling chrysanthemum, the domed centre to the interior decorated with a medallion enclosing a chrysanthemum spray, encircled by a classic scroll just below the unglazed rim, Japanese wood box
Condition
The cup has a gold-lacquer repair to the handle but is otherwise in good condition.
