Description
- grey pottery, paulownia wood
modelled in the form of a bronze zun, the middle bulbous section rising from a tall splayed foot to a wide trumpet neck, the central section and the neck decorated with a leiwen band, all divided by double fillets at the neck and foot, Japanese wood box

Condition
This rare zun has over-painting to two sections of the rim: a 30 x 8cm., crescent-shaped section of the rim and a 14 x 9cm., V-shaped section; two 2cm., and one 2cm., shallow rim flakes and some small rim nibbles, and a 122mm., shallow flake to the edge of the foot.
