la lame légèrement asymétrique de section lenticulaire, avec deux petits ailerons entourant le nei percé, le manche recourbé décoré de chaque côté de fines cloisons curvilignes entourant un motif central circulaire suggérant un oeil elliptique, à l'origine incrustée, la pièce en grande partie couverte d'une gangue verdâtre à surface rugueuse, D.W 2511.3

Condition
The x-ray reveals no break to the dagger-axe. However, there are several stress cracks to the rim extending into the blade. The blade has been polished on both sides. The bronze a dark brownish-red colour with extensive malachite areas and some malachite encrustation to the handle. The inventory number D.W. 2511.3 is inscribed on the edge of the handle. The colour of the dagger-axe is a darker, more saturated colour than the catalogue illustration suggests.
