probably Henry Perkins (1778-1855), a subscriber to a large paper copy, with initials "HP" on upper cover of each volume, sale by Gadsden, Ellis & Co., 3 June 1873, lots 396 and 387 (but see footnote)

Catalogue Note

All indications are that this copy belonged to Henry Perkins, though the copy sold at his library sale (see provenance) was described as being bound in purple morocco by Herring, possibly in error. As is often the case Monasticon Anglicanum is without the plate of a Benedictine nun at p.451 in vol.2. It is presumably omitted as it appears to be a duplicate of the same plate which is present at p.436 vol.1.
