Catalogue Note
Included in this lot is an old calf portfolio entitled "History of Worcestershire. Nash. Rev. J. Blakeway's Ms Collections", containing additional manuscript and printed material. John Brickdale Blakeway wrote A History of Shrewsbury (1825) and The Sheriffs of Shropshire (1831) but much of his work remained in manuscript. His topographical history of Shropshire was published posthumously in 1905–7.
