Condition

To the naked eye: The painting appears in not very good condition. The painting appears under a old dirty varnish. It has been relined quite strongly. We notice numerous spots of old restorations all over the composition that need to be redone. We notice a small loss next to his left foot (visible on the picture). Under UV light: The painting appears under a green uniform varnish. We can notice numerous restorations all over the composition : on the sky, body, face and lower zone. In conclusion: The painting is still very powerful and unusual but needs some intervention to recover its full potential.
