Description

The slightly curved back with a D-shaped front, the border with an arrangement of flowerhead roundels within kingwood banding, the frieze with a central bow-fronted drawer inlaid with an urn and swags of drapery, flanked at each side by panels with anthemia and swags of drapery, the whole raised on square tapered legs inlaid with pendent husks. The underside of one with penciled inscription Florence (?) and with chalk number B2395. Each central drawer later cut in.

Condition

Overall good restored condition. Drawers later cut in. Tops with minor rippling consistent with age. One table with small chip to back crossbanded edge; same table with restorations to three husk pendants to frieze; some line engraving lack and/or refreshed. The other table with restorations to two husk pendants; line engraving on this table appears to be better preserved. Central front right leg with a metal L-bracket to back to help stabilize. Tables appear to be sturdy. Overall with minor nicks and scratches, and with a slightly glossy surface
