The complete portfolio comprising a book with accompanying text and 12 bound prints (as issued), a portfolio with ten loose prints (as issued) and a sculpted heart contained in the original red leather slipcase the complete bound book signed in blue pencil, annotated Edition C and numbered 36/100 on the justification , the complete portfolio of ten prints each signed in pencil and, on the verso, numbered 36/100 in black ink and stamped Edition C the book contains 12 lithographs printed in colors on Arches wove paper bound in a red leather cover; the portfolio comprised of four etchings and six lithographs printed in color on Arches wove paper loose in a red leather cover printed at the Atelier Desjobert and Atelier Leblanc, Paris, published by Petersburg Press, London

Condition

The front of the red leather slipcase is slightly attenuated. The prints are in good condition, the full sheets. The following prints in the portfolio display time-stain at the extreme sheet edges of the verso: 1) Basil in Black Leather Suit (Basil at the Theatre); 2) Dorian Gray in Multi-Colored Vinyl Strip Cape; 3) Sibyl in her Dressing Room (Sibyl Vane in her Dressing Room); 4) Red Piano; 5) Red Design for Satin Heart; and, 6) Study for the rings on Dorian Gray's Hand. The Red Piano is trimmed approx. 1/2 cm. vertically and its verso is off-printed with Dorian Gray in Multi-Colored Vinyl Strip Cape. Bound Book: The prints are in good condition, the full sheets. The colored lines of Dorian Gray in Multi-Colored Vinyl Strip Cape are off-printed onto the facing page.
