the gourd encased within a silver openwork network of leafy vines bearing blossoms and further gourds, jade inlaid with coral, turquoise and other stones, each lobe centered with a jade fu character and flanked by two jade double-gourd-form pendants

Condition

The metal openwork is detached from its backing along one side of the gourd. It is likely that some of the inlaid decoration are later replacements. There is wear to the surface of the jades and small nicks to the edges and some dirt and residue where the jades are secured to the metal mounts. The surface with wear, light scratches and scattered nicks overall.
