Provenance

Collection of Hubert Vos, and thence by descent.

Condition

Gelatin Silver print encased in original mount. The print is extensively and unevenly silvered, particularly noticeable at the darkest areas. Pervasive uneven spotting throughout the image, possibly foxing. Several white deposits of indeterminate nature scattered throughout. There is an approximately 2.5 cm circular shaped repaired tear above the sitter's head. There are several long surface scuffs and scratches visible overall. The original mount is significantly age darkened with losses at each corner and with several adhesive remains.
