each of the straight sides of the archaistic quadrangular form molded with bagua arranged in two columns, applied overall with a pale bluish-celadon glaze, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character mark
Provenance
Collection of a United States Army General stationed in China, acquired between 1925 and 1948, and thence by descent.
Condition
There is a drilled hole at the base made when the vase was mounted as a lamp. The surface with expected wear and firing imperfections such as glaze gaps.
