the shallow rounded sides rising to a flaring rim, painted to the interior with a five-clawed dragon writhing above a tempestuous sea, the exterior similarly decorated with nine further dragons above waves, the base with a six-character seal mark

Condition

The rim with a 0.1 cm burst glaze bubble. There is a small patch of firing flaw to the exterior wall with resultant minor glaze discoloration and a few short body lines. The base with a 0.9 cm faint firing line and three associated burst glaze bubbles. Otherwise, the dish is in overall good condition with expected surface wear and minor firing imperfections.
