the wrathful protector Shri Devi riding a yellow stallion, with a saddle of flayed human skin, holding a trisula-tipped khatvanga in the raised right hand and a kapala in the left hand, the wrathful accoutrements of the dice, the ball of string and the sack of diseases strapped to her belt, surmounted by a peacock-feather parasol and enclosed within red and black flames

Condition

Surface abrasions, wear to pigment, creasing and accretion overall as visible in catalog illustration. Framed in a textile mount. Thangka and textile mounted on a foam and stretcher.
