Description
- bronze
the deity standing in fierce alidhasana, the conical headdress with three small seated tathagatas, richly adorned with earrings, necklaces, armlets, girdle and anklets, trampling underfoot the deities Maheshvara and his consort Uma, standing on a low plinth adorned with a vajra
Condition
Good and stable overall condition. Even verdigris patina throughout. Very fine hairline cracks visible on both ankles of standing figure under high magnification. The splayed leg of the diminutive supine figure of Shiva lying face down on the base appears to have been rejoined at the knee. A small rectangular aperture on the base directly behind Trailokyavijaya would have supported a vertical structure, possibly a pilaster with a prabha or halo, now missing. There is slight wear to the figure's dhoti, hair and headdress on the back due to ritual handling and use.
