the compressed globular body rising to a waisted neck, flanked by a pair of mythical beast-mask loop handles, the recessed base centered with an apocryphal Xuande mark

Condition

Minor scattered encrustation with a chip to one handle, and a smaller chip below that handle. There is 0.7 cm long casting flaw on the bottom of the foot ring, and a shallow dent on the side of the body. There are the expected signs of age and wear, but overall the censer is in good general condition.
