Catalogue Note

Tang Shunxing (c. 1862-1908) is thought to be related to another skilled carver of the period Tang Huxing. Two examples of his work are illustrated in Tony Miller and Humphrey Hui, Elegance in Relief, Carved Porcelain from Jingdezhen of the 19th to Early 20th Centuries, Hong Kong, 2006, pls. 38 and 155.
