This is an extremely rare and early example of a Fabergé jewel designed in Celtic style. The other known example, made by Wigström circa 1910, was given by the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna to her lady-in-waiting Baroness Magda von Schilling; exhibited, London, Wartski, Fabergé and The Russian Jewellers, 10-20 May 2006, no. 58, p. 34, illustrated p. 29.
