Condition

This work is in very good condition. The canvas is unlined. The stamp on the reverse of the original canvas referring to the collection and estate sale is clearly visible. The tacking edges have been reinforced. Visible on the reverse, but not on the surface, is a small repair to a paint loss in the turban, which has been retouched. The retouching here is faintly visible under ultraviolet light. Other than that, there are only a few tiny dots of retouching in the lower right and in the upper right and upper left corners. The painting should be hung in its current state.
