Condition
The board is sound. There are minor frame abrasions along the edges and associated paint loss in the upper left and lower left corners. There is minor craquelure in the upper right corner. There is surface dirt. There is a layer of surface dirt. Inspection under UV light does not reveal any obvious signs of restoration. Held in a gold painted wooden frame behind glass. Unexamined out of frame.

Catalogue Note
A portrait of an old man drinking beer was in the same collection as the present lot (fig.1). Also dating from 1914, it can be seen as a partner work to this female tea-drinker.
