Acquired in Riga directly from the artist by the father of the present owner before 1940

Condition

Original canvas, which is slightly loose on the stretcher. The canvas is slightly uneven in the right hand side and the bottom left corner. There is a chip of paint loss in the foliage to the right of the woman in blue, with a few flecks of paint loss elsewhere. UV light reveals no apparent retouching. Held in a gold painted frame with mouldings. Unexamined out of frame.
