Catalogue Note

The 15th Her Sovereign Majesty Empress Alexandra Fedorovna's Alexandria Hussar Regiment was founded in 1776 as the Dalmatskii Hussars and included such prominent figures as Konstantin Ushakov, the poet Nikolai Gumilev, and writer Mikhail Bulgakov.
