the cylindrical body on three ball feet, enameled translucent red over an engine-turned ground, the front inset with a 1799 coin of Paul I, the hinged domed lid with a coin of Catherine II, both on a red guilloché enamel ground, the ball thumbpiece, three ball feet and interior gilded, struck with Cyrillic initials G.S of an unidentified master, 84 standard
