Condition

Overall measurements: 98cm across the top, 96cm across the bottom, 132cm along left side, 125cm along right side Dense heavy pile in glossy wool, generally very good 5-8mm in depth, lower in field and with a smattering of knot heads appearing in uppermost part of mihrab; blacks well oxidised; colours include an unusual purplish crimson red. Outermost red and white barber pole guard border removed at lower end and end blanket stitched, with a handful of small reweaves in the outer blue guard stripe (probably restored old nicks); upper end with red and white barber pole extant, some loose threads, blanket stitched to stabilise; striking rug of unusually small size
