Description

Condition
Overall measurements: 63cm across the top, 68cm across the bottom, 135cm along left side, 132cm along right side
Lustrous wool with muted attractive colours. Generally even 4mm pile overall, with some wear down to 2mm in the lower section of the central vertical strip. There is a very small hole in the floral motif four down from the top in the far right cream coloured vertical strip, which can easily be repaired. There is also a similar repaired hole to the lower right of the this motif in the cream ground, as visible in the image. There is slight oxidization to the dark browns, especially to edges. There are tasselled fringes at both ends, 7 across top and 6 across bottom, one tassel possibly missing from top left corner. Some loose threads and minute losses to top left corner which needs overlocking. Side cords lacking and with some sections later on left side and sections with loose cords, original side cords on right side with three applied wool tufts. Some abrash visible as different colour to outer guards top section of panel.
