Catalogue Note
Interestingly, as opposed to the traditional medallion, the open ivory and floral field is centred by a rectangular 'flowerbed' which is an unusual trait. Likewise the narrow rosette and long leaf border is interesting to note, a work with a similar border design is published in Rugs on the Market Teppiche auf dem markt, Hali, Vol. 2, No. 3, 1979, p. 271.
