Condition
Overall measurements: 177cm across the top, 189cm across the bottom, 395cm along left side, 362cm along right side
Pile evenly worn 2mm and down to knotbars. General wear, as visible in photograph, especially across width of central section. Some areas of repair to amber coloured ground in areas around the central medallion, woven in a complimentary amber colour. There is an area of re-piling within border top right corner, see for example the brown motif in inner border. More even 2mm pile present in the lower and upper borders. Some oxidisation and repair to browns as visible in photographs. Small scattered re-weaves and repairs for example underneath lower medallion in main field in section of amber coloured ground. Lower end with running stitch and teased fringe not overlocked. Top end some of original flatweave end visible, teased fringe across width cream coloured running stitch, not overlocked. Both sides with re-overcast side cords. Attractive, elegant carpet
