  • approximately 219 by 105cm; 7ft. 2in., 3ft. 5in.

Condition

Overall measurements: 98cm across the top, 105cm across the bottom, 219cm along left side, 218cm along right side Pile generally even, good lustrous wool, 4-5mm in depth with lucid colour, including lovely greens and pinks; browns oxidised revealing foundation in field, as seen in photograph; old fold wear (?) strengthened with whip stitch (visible as horizontal lines of colour, e.g. red in upper right hand corner of field); upper end with braided finish in ivory/brown brindled wool, restorations to corners of braiding; lower end with restored outermost barber pole guard stripe and warp fringes; side cords with some restorations; a very pretty piece with delicious colour
