the ends with two metal thread embroidered mirrors (one missing its glass)
Condition
the pile section approximately 1190 by 35cm, the flatwoven ends together approximately 208cm; total length 1362cm
Pile in very good condition overall, depth approximately 4mm; hanging loops stitched at intervals along top edge, and when the tentband has been hung it has led to several splits (approximately 7 in total, ranging from 3 - 5 cm in length), some now cobbled together, between the plain flatwoven ground and the upper outer pile barber pole decoration along the upper edge; some scattered minor losses to pile and small holes, a handful of small repairs, and a section of restored ground approx 30 by 1cm; some minor losses to side wrapping. Complete with flatwoven end finishes, the flatwoven ends with supplementary brocaded decoration, pleated into plaited tassels, one end with rare cloth covered roundel embroidered in metal thread and enclosing a mirror, together with a loose roundel with inscription, without mirror
