Description

- approximately 245 by 115cm; 8ft., 3ft. 9in.
Condition
Overall measurements; 112cm across the top. 115cm across the bottom. 245cm right side. 243cm left side.
This rug is in exceptionally good condition for age. Pile generally 5mm in depth, with some minor overall differential oxidisation, and a broad range of exceptionally good clear colours, including a good mauve and light blue green and apple green. There are small areas of wear to foundation due to old moth for example lower right far corner and small areas on left hand side far edge of outer guard. Flatweave across top end guard with some losses and vestiges of fringe. Not overlocked, some loose threads. Lower end guard largely lacking flatweave across the width. Vestiges of fringe and loose threads of warp foundation. Some old overlocking. Ends would benefit from being stabilised. Original sidecords. Overall a very nice example.
