Catalogue Note

This document was signed just before the release of the Sex Pistols' debut album, Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols on 27 October 1977.  The first clause deals with the Sex Pistols' involvement with the Russ Meyer and Roger Ebert film Who Killed Bambi?, stipulating that "Seventy Seven thousand dollars ($77,000) would be payable to Russ Meyer..." for "exploitation of The Picture in the United States and Canada...", while the second clause deals with album releases ("if at the time of delivery to us of the second, third and fourth albums...we have received less than One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars...we shall have the right to deduct from advances otherwise payable to you for said second, third and fourth albums..."). In the end there was only one studio album as the group disintegrated after an ill-fated tour of the US in January 1978.
