serial number K578 89, seven piece laminated through-neck with ebony fingerboard, pearlised plaque with black printed lettering "JACK BRUCE" on fingerboard near body joint, Bubinga wood double cutaway contoured body, headstock with veneer and "W" mother of pearl inlay, five black tuners, truss rod cover inscribed "Thumb Bass", two EMG active pickups, three rotary controls, one mini selector switch, metal bridge and metal tailpiece, in metal flight case with black plush lining

Condition

Good used condition. Missing two battery compartments and some 9 volt connectors have corroded, which could be easily rectified with some maintenance.

Catalogue Note

This instrument was used in the recording of Bruce's album A Question of Time in San Francisco in 1989 and was also used on stage and in photo shoots with Laura Levin in New York. It is of one of the earliest Warwick thumb bass 5-strings with neck-through construction.

Sold with a certificate of authenticity signed by Jack Bruce.
