Condition
This print, on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally very good condition. Overall this print has a warm, slightly sepia appearance. There is faint silvering around the perimeter of the image. There is an approximately 4-inch thin area of blue-toned discoloring at the upper right corner of the image. There is an approximately one-inch vertical crease extending from the bottom right margin corner which does not appear to break the emulsion and does not affect the image.
There is a small stray ink mark on the reverse. The following is written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse: 'RF.A 008 803-I,' '5' (or possibly 'S'), and 'J'.
This photograph has undergone conservation, and a treatment report is available upon request from the department.
It is believed that only 5 other prints of this image have previously been offered at auction.
