Condition

This print, on heavy paper with a surface sheen, is in generally very good condition. The black negative edge is partially visible as well as the sprocket holes along the left side. In raking light, the following are visible: 2 tiny deposits of indeterminate nature, one in the upper left quadrant, the other along the lower left edge of the image; and occasional superficial surface scratches. There is a 2-inch tear in the upper edge of the margin with an attendant 1 1/2-inch crease, and a 1 1/4-inch abrasion to the center right side of the margin; these do not affect the image in any way. There is some minor soiling in the margin that is consistent with handling. The margin corners are bumped, with the top paper-ply folded back at the tips. The reverse is lightly soiled, and there are 2 small hinge remnants along the upper edge. The following is written in an unidentified hand in pencil: 'RF-780-119-3' and '562-I (M).' It is believed that only 4 other prints of this image have previously been offered at auction.
