Condition

This print, on double-weight, semi-glossy paper, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, the following are visible: a very small soft crease in the upper portion of the image; a few tiny deposits, possibly original retouching, overall; and a 2-1/2-inch hairline scratch in the lower left quadrant. Along the edge of the upper margin, there is a thin, linear, soft impression. This does not affect the image in any way, and is visible only in raking light. The margin corners are bumped, and the lower right margin corner is creased. On the reverse, there are scattered deposits of ink and graphite on the reverse. There is a small, circular neon yellow label, with 'P/K A-24 (II)' in ink, and a rectangular label, with 'NYU LAW #9 P/K A-24 (II)' in ink. The additional notations in pencil are as follows: 'NYUAC # 1993.6.9,' '6-191-,' and '21.' It is believed that only 5 other prints of this image have previously been offered at auction.
