Condition
This print, on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, a few tiny impressions and a very soft handling crease are barely discernible in the upper right quadrant.
There are some stray grey marks from exposure during processing in the right and left margins. Frank's signature is very slightly smudged. There are some scattered, very soft impressions along the outer edges of the margin, and an ink deposit in the lower right corner of the margin. The margin corners are bumped, and there is some minimal emulsion loss at the upper margin left corner.
On the reverse are 2 rice paper hinge remnants, and some very faint soiling along the left edge. The copyright stamp is annotated 'Robert Frank 1979' in an unidentified hand in ink, and the Robert Frank Archive stamp is annotated '65' and '641' in an unidentified hand in pencil. Other notations in pencil are '112' and '1' (circled).
