Condition

This print, on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally very good condition. The negative sprocket holes appear at the bottom of the image. There are very thin margins at the left and right edges. There is a small, pale brown area of discoloration in the upper left quadrant. The margin corners are slightly bumped. A diagonal crease at the upper right margin corner does not appear to break the emulsion but does slightly intrude upon the image. A few crescent-shaped handling creases that do not appear to break the emulsion are visible under raking light in the margins. The reverse of the print is clean, with a few pale scuffs and fingerprints. The following is written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse: '9-223' and '379.' A small circular green label on the reverse bears the following inscription in ink: 'PK A-119 (V).' It is believed that only 3 other prints of this image have previously been offered at auction.
