Condition
This print, on heavy paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, a soft, linear impression is visible in the lower left quadrant of the image as well as a tiny impression that does not appear to break the emulsion in the upper right quadrant. In the margin, there are a few scattered deposits of indeterminate nature. The outer edges of the margin are faintly age-darkened, and Frank's title and date have faded slightly. The margin corners are bumped, with the top paper-ply folded back at the tips of the lower corners.
On the reverse are a few deposits of indeterminate nature. The notations in an unidentified hand in pencil read as follows: 'RF.A.037.4' and 3704-I.'
When examined under ultraviolet light, this print appears to fluoresce.
It is believed that only 7 other prints of this image have previously been offered at auction.
