Catalogue Note

Audemars Piguet delved into automotive-themed watches by introducing the Millenary MC12 Tourbillon Chronograph watch in 2006 to commemorate the success of the Maserati MC12 in the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers' Cup. The "Millenary" model is signified by its characteristic oval case, completed with matching colors and the Maserati Trident, the design of this watch is based on the road-going Maserati MC12 super car, famously painted in white and blue, it was the homologation car for the FIA GT1 Championship.

Powered by the Calibre 2884 manually wound movement, this avant-garde timepiece features a 30 minute chronograph function with pushers in unique 10 and 2 positions. The beautiful dial presents an impressive futuristic appearance with its skeletonized center section, in which the off-centered dial frame showcases a tachymetre, and the left side displays a scale for the 10 day power reserve indication. Visible through the center of the dial are two mainspring barrels, and a distinctive blue bridge made from Eloxed aluminum has been mounted below the one-minute tourbillon.

This highly complicated watch reinterprets classical watchmaking specialties with new and exciting technology, only available in a very limited number of 150 pieces worldwide.
