The complete portfolio, comprising 42 lithographs printed in colours, with text by Longus, 1961, signed in black ink on the justification, numbered 39, from the total edition of 270, loose (as issued), on Arches wove paper, published by Tériade, Paris, contained in the original paper-covered boards and slipcase

Condition

The full sheets, printed to the edges, in good condition apart from pale offsetting. Pale discoloration on the paper covers, a surface scuff on the back board (volume I), slight wear and minor surface soiling on the slipcase. Very minor imperfections in the individual plates are as follows: a very small piece of tissue adhered to the printed surface of plates 2, 16, 19 and 30, a single fox mark on the verso of plate 3, scattered tiny foxing on the verso of plate 13.
