The complete portfolio, comprising 12 wood engravings printed in colours after works by various artists, 1950, each signed in pencil and numbered LXXXIX/C, also numbered on the justification, from the total edition of 250, with a suite of 53 decompositions of the Desnoyer print, loose (as issued), on wove papers, with title and text by Robert Rey and other collaborators, published by L'Image LittĂ©raire and R. Finelli-Feugère, Paris, Nice and New York, contained in the original paper wrappers and maroon linen-covered box, lacking the front panel with the reproduction of a Chagall print

Condition

With full margins, in good condition, the Picasso with a soft handling crease in the lower right margin, a single mottled fox mark at the lower left sheet edge of the Van Dongen, a string of pale mottled fox marks just outside of the image at right of the Vlaminck, scattered foxing along the lower sheet edge of the last two decomposition sheets, the portfolio box lacking the front panel with the reproduction of the Chagall print.
