The complete set of eighteen etchings with aquatint and drypoint, 1864, from the first edition of 1864 before the numbers, published by the Real Academia, Madrid, on wove paper, some bearing the Palmette watermark

Condition

With wide margins, in generally good condition, the majority of the sheets with a small hole in the upper left image (two sheets with two holes), each sheet with a soft central vertical fold (mainly visible verso), sheet edges with pale browns stains (mainly visible in the lower right corner and well away from image), paper discoloration in margins and verso, occasional fox marks, soft creasing in margins and the extreme sheet edges with minor imperfections. Individual flaws as follows: H. 253 with two small vertical tears at lower left sheet edge, H. 260 with a diagonal tear at upper left sheet edge (approx. 6cm), H. 261 with a minute vertical tear at upper sheet edge at center. The title page with surface dirt. Each unframed.
