Condition

This early, warm-toned print is on lightly-textured, double-weight paper. It is in overall very good condition. The print is trimmed to the image, and the corners are lightly bumped. Visible in raking light are minor edge chipping, two small, irregular, horizontal areas of silvering, and an extremely faint, crescent-shaped handling crease in the upper left quadrant. The reverse of the print is annotated in pencil: 'Enlargement,' 'Permission for reproduction granted' (underlined), '1A' (circled), '68,' '238,' 262,' 'B,' No. 2' (marked out) and 'X__ / ____ / print' (mostly illegible). 'PF27268' and 'FZV026a' are written in pencil in an unidentified hand. Yellowed adhesive remains on the reverse suggest that this print was originally affixed to a mount. There is a Howard Greenberg Gallery label on the reverse of the frame.
