Condition
These prints are in generally excellent condition.
'Nude 6N' - This slightly warm-toned print is on semi-glossy paper. The mount is unevenly age-darkened. '6-507' and '3963' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil. Conger lists the date for this print as 1922. The reverse of the mount is incorrectly dated 1920 by Cole Weston, possibly because Edward Weston dated it '1920?' in his log.
'Legs in Hammock' - This print, on semi-glossy paper, has an overall neutral tonality but exhibits the slightest amount of warmth at the bottom edge and upper leg of the sitter. Very small deposits of retouching, as well as very superficial surface scratches that do not appear to break the emulsion, are visible in raking light.
The mount is lightly soiled and there are stray deposits of graphite or ink. The corners are bumped, with very small losses to the top paper-ply. The reverse of the mount is initialed by Cole Weston, and Edward Weston's negative number, 'SC-LB-3G' is also annotated by Cole. 'Low estate / Inv #43,' 'Box 3 #27,' and '74.878' are in an unidentified hand in pencil.
