Condition

This early print, on glossy paper and on a large buff-colored mount, is in generally good condition. In raking light, age-appropriate silvering is visible in the darkest areas of the print, primarily at the periphery. Along the edge in the lower left corner, a small sharp horizontal crease has resulted in minute chipping and lifting of the emulsion. A faint fingerprint is visible at the center right edge of the print. A few minute and subtle indentations and scratches can be found across the print surface, primarily noticeable in the most silvered areas of the print. The heavy card mount, is unevenly trimmed on all sides. There is a small tear in the mount below the signature and date, but this does not affect the signature or date in any way. This tear has been repaired on the reverse with a small piece of cellulose tape. Several abraded areas and tape remnants on the reverse suggest that it was previously affixed to another mount. The mount is age-darkened/sunned at the perimeter of the print.
