2 photographs, comprising Half Dome, Merced River, Winter, Yosemite National Park, California and Tenaya Lake, Thunderstorm, each mounted, the second signed in pencil on the mount and with the 'Special Edition' stamp, series no. 8 and print no. 23 in ink, on the reverse, 1938 and 1946, each printed no later than 1957; each accompanied by a frame backing with inscription (400 Photographs, pp. 115 and 309) (4)
Condition
These prints are in generally excellent condition. In raking light, faint silvering is visible at the edges in the dark areas.
'Tenaya Lake, Thunderstorm' - There are two tidelines on the mount, one at the left edge and one at the lower edge.
The reverse of the mount is uniformly age-darkened, and there is some faint soiling. The Special Edition stamp is annotated in ink as follows: THIS IS PRINT '23' OF S.E.Y. NO '8.'
The accompanying frame backing is inscribed with annotation 'Lake Tenaya' and as follows:

Half Dome, Merced River, Winter, Yosemite National Park, California - There is a faint tideline running the length of the lower mount edge. The print is mounted to Crescent illustration board, and the edges are bumped.
